Contempt Proceedings for Violation of a Divorce Decree
If your ex-spouse has refused to comply with the provisions of a divorce decree, we can file a motion asking the court to hold your ex-spouse in contempt of court. The court can issue an Order to Show Cause, which requires your ex-spouse to attend a hearing and demonstrate that they have not violated the court order or have had sufficient cause for their failure to obey the court order.
